We are seeking a highly analytical and collaborative Stress Testing Architect to lead the development and integration of financial stress testing and forecasting solutions to ensure the approach is scalable for executing more frequent stress testing of different scenarios. This cross-departmental role will work closely with Risk, Finance,  IT, and Treasury to ensure the Bank’s readiness for internal and regulatory stress testing exercises and to enhance internal risk management.
 

Your tasks

Design and Development

  • Lead the design, development, and enhancement of quantitative models
  • Draw the design of the stress testing landscape for the Bank
  • Build and maintain robust, forward-looking models that support scenario analysis
  • Integrate newly developed and existing models into the Bank’s wider stress testing framework
  • Ensure models meet both internal strategic needs and external regulatory expectations
        Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Collaborate closely with Risk Management, Finance, IT, and Treasury teams
  • Serve as a liaison between business and technical teams, translating financial concepts
        Data and Technology
  • Build a stress testing suite in Python with colleagues from Finance, Risk and Treasury
  • Oversee data sourcing, transformation, and validation processes to support stress testing activities
  • Work with data engineers and developers to automate stress testing workflows and improve operational efficiency
  • Ensure data integrity and uphold model governance standards
  • Develop dashboards and visualizations to effectively communicate key insights and outcomes

        Governance and Compliance

  • Maintain comprehensive documentation and audit trails for developed models, assumptions, and methodologies
  • Support internal and external audits, as well as regulatory reviews

 

 

 

Your knowledge/experience

  • Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related quantitative discipline
  • Several years of experience in banking or financial services
  • Proven experience managing cross-functional projects, ideally within a regulatory or risk-focused environment
  • Strong understanding of financial statements (IFRS, HGB), balance sheet dynamics, and regulatory stress testing frameworks (e.g., BaFin, EBA, PRA)
  • Well-developed skillset in data analysis and visualization tools such as, SQL, Python,or Power BI
  • Familiarity with financial systems and platforms (e.g., QRM or similar)
  • Knowledge of ICAAP, ILAAP, and Recovery Plan processes
