Your tasks
- Lead the GmbH Finance Systems and Change team (including outsourcing & accounts payable)
- Lead the finance change agenda, build the governance and controls to support finance outsource relationships and finance systems
- In addition, providing the Invoice and Expense processing for LB GmbH and finance shared services to LBG European businesses
- Ensure a robust financial control environment including compliance with all LBG Group Minimum Standards, Financial Control Framework and IT compliance for finance relevant systems
- Manage the local compliance and documentation of finance systems supporting the GmbH Finance team
- Ensure the team is appropriately resourced. Lead and develop the team, ensuring all colleagues have a personal development plan, regular 121’s and check ins
- Lead on Core Banking System (CBS) related topics including oversight of reconciliations, year-end roll over of sub-ledger (P&L into PY reserves)
- Support data mapping of customer transactions to source system balances. Main contact point to BI team
- Be first point of contact regarding accounting-relevant IT applications for both LBG and other LB GmbH departments e.g. Oracle Fusion, Exact
- Co-ordinate GmbH Finance input and resourcing for change projects
- Lead on Finance projects on GmbH Investment portfolio including requirements gathering, prioritisation and leading change and simplification agenda
- Lead all local Invoice and expense processing for GmbH including operational cash and vendor management
- Lead delivery and co-ordination of shared services within agreed SLA’s for LBG European entities/branches e.g. LBCMW, LB plc payments branch, e. Services include but not limited to Invoice and Expense processing, bank reconciliation and ledger postings
- Co-ordination of annual Review of IGA with LB plc including costs interlock
- Own and maintain all documentation requirements for finance outsourcing both as supplier and recipient
Your knowledge/experience
- Master’s degree with focus on e.g. accounting, audit, controlling. CA ACA, CIMA preferred
- Team leader and Manager with at least 7+ years of experience in financial reporting and statutory accounting
- Very good understanding of financial accounting standards and regulations (IFRS, HGB)
- Ability to understand complex financial results and articulate key messages and issues to stakeholders
- Very good analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills
- Very good skills in Excel, Word and Power Point, Experience of Oracle and SAP a benefit
- Very good verbal and written communications skills in German and English
