Your tasks
- Lead the development and implementation of the local Data Privacy Strategy and internal and external audits
- Serve as the primary contact for defining and updating data privacy policies, procedures, and standards
- Ensure alignment with EU GDPR, especially regarding special categories of personal data
- Act as a strategic advisor to senior management and the externally appointed Data Protection Officer
- Coordinate data privacy initiatives with internal and external stakeholders, including regulators and auditors
- Perform second-line compliance monitoring for data privacy and information security risks
- Monitor legal and regulatory changes
- Develop and maintain KPIs related to data privacy
- Oversee the drafting and maintenance of privacy notices, ensuring transparency and compliance with GDPR requirements
- Ensure that privacy notices clearly articulate the lawful basis for processing and the safeguards in place for sensitive data
- Manage communications with regulators and ensure timely responses to inquiries and inspections
Your knowledge/experience
- A University Master’s degree in law, economics or equivalent
- Risk Management or Certified Compliance Officer qualification or equivalent is preferred
- Several years of relevant experience in a risk or compliance function
- Sound knowledge of integral risk control models, reporting and related law and regulations
- Proven ability to assimilate complex information and support decision making within the business
- Conceptual understanding of the principles of the business area including a detailed knowledge of relevant legislation
- Specific knowledge of techniques and tools required to manage risk processes
- Ability to develop operational policies within the area and to interpret and unravel complex cases
- Excellent planning, organization and analystical skills
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and in writing (German or Dutch and English)
