Your tasks
Governance and Control:
- Support the organisation in strengthening risk awareness and internal controls.
- Contribute to the enhancement of our governance framework and our journey towards ECB supervision.
- Support the implementation of the revised Group Risk Architecture, including gap assessments and action plans.
- Monitor regulatory developments (e.g. CRR/CRD, MaRisk, EBA Guidelines) and support impact assessments and implementation.
- Prepare documentation and recommendations for compliance‑related initiatives.
Assist in Risk Reporting and Management:
- Support management reporting and regulatory submissions with data gathering and initial analysis.
- Coordinate and track internal and external audit activities.
- Contribute to risk–return assessments as part of the new product approval process.
ESG Risk Management:
- Drive the implementation of ESG risk management requirements (e.g. MaRisk, EBA Guidelines).
- Act as an integrator across the risk function to ensure consistent ESG risk approaches
Your knowledge/experience
- Bachelor or Master’s degree in business administration, business law, sustainability management, economics or a similar field.
- Several years of experience in ESG risk management, sustainability controlling, financial risk management, compliance, audit or a comparable field within the financial services industry
- Good understanding of financial and non‑financial risk types and strong familiarity with key regulatory frameworks (CRR/CRD, MaRisk, EBA and ECB Guidelines).
- Experience in supporting projects and working in cross‑functional teams.
- Skills in process automation or programming (e.g. Python) and handling large datasets are a plus.
- Fluency in English; German or Dutch is an advantage.
