We are looking for an experienced Business Data Analyst to support our Corporate business during an exciting phase of portfolio development and growth. In this role, you will work closely with business teams, ensure high-quality data, and help shape how data is used for analysis, reporting and decision-making. If you enjoy working close to the business, taking ownership, and improving structures hands-on, we would be delighted to meet you.
Your tasks
Data Quality & Controls
- Ensure data quality within the Corporate Data Domain
- Perform data-quality checks and drive corrective actions
- Analyse root causes of data issues and coordinate resolution
Data Stewardship
- Own and maintain the Corporate First Line Data Domain from a business perspective
- Accountable for the consistency and usability of business data used for monitoring and decision-making
- Own key data elements, definitions and business rules
- Promote data ownership and data literacy across the business
- Align data standards with central Data Governance teams
Data Analysis & Business Enablement
- Analyse client, product, portfolio and risk data
- Provide insights to support business decisions
- Identify trends, data gaps and optimisation opportunities
- Ensure reporting logic and underlying data definitions are clearly documented and controlled
Dashboards & Reporting
- Design, build and enhance dashboards and reports
- Translate business questions into reporting requirements
- Automate recurring analyses
Data Flows & Documentation
- Understand data origins, flows and system interfaces
- Document data sources, definitions and data flows
Stakeholder Management & Projects
- Act as primary contact for data-related topics
- Support projects and change initiatives
- Drive optimisation, automation and scalability initiatives
Your knowledge/experience
- Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative, analytical or business‑related field
- Several years’ experience in data analysis or business analytics within a financial institution, ideally with exposure to corporate lending
- Strong SQL skills and experience with visualisation tools (e.g. Power BI, Tableau); experience with ETL, DWH or Python is a big plus
- Solid understanding of data flows, data architectures and interfaces
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with high attention to detail
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to work effectively in both project and BAU environments
- Confident communicator able to engage stakeholders across functions
- Excellent English skills; German or Dutch is an advantage
